Real Madrid are increasingly worried that Liverpool will sign Jude Bellingham, according to reports. Los Blancos have found an alternative.

This comes from Marca. They claim that Real Madrid no longer feel confident they’ll sign Jude Bellingham in the summer, despite him being their no.1 target.

There’s too much interest from others, apparently, with Liverpool being a particular problem. The Reds are determined to sign the player after losing out on Aurélien Tchouaméni last summer. That has them willing to pay £100m to sign Bellingham.

Real worry so much, in fact, that they’re finding alternatives. Enzo Fernández will be their go-to if Liverpool do sign Bellingham in the summer.

Everything about this transfer race seems to favour Liverpool. There’s talk, for instance, that they’re the only club that can meet Borussia Dortmund’s asking price.

They don’t have any worries about his wage demands, either. It’s starting to feel as though losing out on Bellingham would be a massive failure at this point. Liverpool are determined, are in a great position, and look increasingly confident.

To have Real seeking alternative targets would be a big sign of that. After all, these clubs know the situation – they’re talking with Bellingham’s agents however they can and finding out where things are heading.

And so it certainly sounds as though Liverpool sit in pole position. Honestly, we only have one worry and it’s the Reds’ form this season.

Finishing outside of the Champions League spots would be a serious blow, we imagine. Maybe we’re not giving Bellingham enough credit there as he may not base his decision on one season. It would take some of the shine off Liverpool as a club where you can guarantee success, though.

Fix that and the Reds seem to be in an incredible position to sign Bellingham.
