Liverpool should not be ruled out of the race to sign West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, according to CBS reporter Ben Jacobs.
As per the journalist, the Hammers have resigned to the fact that they’re likely to lose the 23-year-old in 2023.

Jacobs reports of Chelsea’s strong interest, for which the Blues believe they can complete a deal for under the £75m mark.
However, he claims a number of Premier League clubs are keen – including the Reds.
As of yet, there isn’t a clear frontrunner, meaning Jurgen Klopp’s side remain firmly in the race.
Liverpool in the race to sign Rice
As defensive midfielders go, you probably won’t be able to find one in the modern game much better than Rice.
At just 23-years-old, he has already amassed 37 caps for England. Now the captain at West Ham following Mark Noble’s retirement, the player has already featured a staggering 215 times for the Hammers.
In the middle of the park, he is extremely dominant. His ability to win the ball back and turn the possession over for his side truly encompasses his role ahead of the back-line.
He is also strong going forward, with the confidence to run with the ball and play defence-splitting passes.

Hailed by Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker as ‘magnificent’, Rice is already one of the best midfield players in world football.
Consequently, if there is any chance of West Ham sanctioning a move for £75m, the Reds should be all over it. Especially with an aging Fabinho currently being overworked in the position at Anfield.
