Barcelona director Jordi Cruyff has admitted his side have been tracking Ajax midfielder and reported Liverpool target Mohammed Kudus for more than a year.
Taking to an interview with RAC 1, the chief of the Catalan club revealed that the 22-year-old has been on his radar for some time. Whilst he didn’t say whether they’re set to make a move for the Ghana international, he did claim he’s a player of interest.

“We’ve been tracking Mohamed Kudus for more than one year,” he said.
“We can’t say now that Barça want Kudus … but he’s attracting interest.
“He’s scoring goals and in Holland they discuss a lot about his position, so yes – I know him well”.
According to 90min, the Reds have been extremely impressed by Kudus at the World Cup. They too have been monitoring the youngster for a while, who is now drawing attention from a myriad of clubs across Europe.
Barcelona also want Kudus
When a Liverpool target is linked with the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid, dismay always seems to surround the Reds’ prospects.
The Spanish giants are probably seen as the biggest clubs in world football, so it is never much of a surprise to hear players wanting to make the switch to La Liga.
The lure and prestige of Barcelona is undeniable, and this is likely to make the race to Kudus’ signature all the more difficult.
Jurgen Klopp is said to be a big fan of the midfielder, having hailed his Champions League strike against the Reds as ‘incredible’.

The 22-year-old has seriously impressed at the World Cup with Ghana, so teams are expected to now join the queue with January interest.
In what was a crucial win for Ghana, Kudus bagged twice to see the Black Stars through to a 3-2 victory.
Considered ‘really special’ by those playing around him, all eyes will be on the youngster as his country face off against Uruguay on Friday.
