Tottenham Hotspur defender Matt Doherty has raved about Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala, after reports claim Liverpool are interested in signing him.
Taking to his World Cup diary for the official Spurs website, the Irishman spoke of his excitement for the Spain vs Germany match this evening.
Picking out a player to watch, Doherty hailed praise on the 19-year-old Die Mannschaft star.
“I’m going to Germany’s Jamal Musiala, what a top, top talent,” he said.
According to Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg, Liverpool are interested in signing Musiala, but Bayern are reluctant to sanction a sale.

Incredibly as a teenager, Musiala has already emerged as a mainstay in Hansi Flick’s Germany side.
Featuring in the starting XI against Japan earlier this week, despite a surprising 2-1 loss, the 19-year-old impressed from the outset.
During his 79 minutes of play, the attacking midfielder maintained a 90% pass accuracy, adding to two key passes he made in the final third. Furthermore, he won five duels, and also was fouled three times due to his incredible footwork on the ball.
Musiala is yet again expected to start against Spain tonight, in a make-or-break fixture for Germany.
Liverpool will likely be watching on, as they continue to monitor his development. Having already impressed in the Champions League, the youngster’s stock will continue to rise with an impressive World Cup campaign.
Therefore, whilst that’s what the Reds want, this only makes him harder to sign – like he wasn’t hard enough to sign anyway.
German legend and World Cup winner Matthaus has already claimed Musiala ‘can be the next Messi’, so it may already appears to be too late for this.
