Liverpool attacker Luis Diaz has revealed a childhood dream of his involves playing for a Spanish club.
That’s what the 25-year-old told Colombian magazine SoHo, sparking rumours of a move away from Anfield.

“I would like to play for a Spanish club that has always attracted my family’s attention, but it is more of a childish dream,” Diaz said.
“Now I only think about lifting trophies and making history with Liverpool, which is one of the biggest clubs in the world.
“I am very grateful for the opportunity they have given me.”
The winger joined the Merseyside outfit during the January transfer window, after an initial £37m deal (with add-ons potentially raising this to £49m) was agreed to with Porto.
Diaz says he would like to play for a Spanish club
Since arriving at Anfield, Diaz has certainly impressed Jurgen Klopp and his coaching staff.
In 38 appearances for the club, the Colombia international has bagged ten goals and eight assists – having averaged an impressive 7.17 match rating in the Champions League.
His incredible pace and daring runs have proven difficult to defend against, often lifting the Reds out of a goal-drought when most needed.
Diaz’s dazzling footwork is a delight to watch, and he showed no sign of needing a settling-in period when he first arrived on Merseyside.

In spite of being out of action with an injury, the attacker has already emerged as a crucial player in Klopp’s XI.
Therefore, this admittance to wanting to play in Spain will come as a worry to the club.
Although he says he is fully focused on Liverpool, the claim will always remain. Particularly, it will remain amongst La Liga clubs, who could look to exploit this in the future.
Diaz has been incredible for the Reds since he arrived in January. Having demonstrated full commitment to the side, there is no doubt he will remain fully focused on Anfield whilst he remains on Merseyside.
However, speculation of a move to Spain will surely emerge over the coming seasons – much to Klopp’s dismay.
