Report: Father of ‘phenomenon’ says club have now made an official proposal, amid claims Liverpool want to sign him

Palmeiras have now received an official proposal from Paris Saint-Germain for Liverpool target and 16-year-old wonderkid Endrick.

That’s what the youngster’s father told Canal do Nicola, who claim the French giants are the only side to have made formal contact with the Brazilian club.

“Paris Saint-Germain are the only club that opened negotiations with Palmeiras with an official proposal, as things stand,” Endrick’s father said.

“There are many clubs from different countries keen on signing him. PSG have already moved.”

This comes amid heavy transfer speculation surrounding the attacker, who has drawn interest from the Reds, alongside the likes of Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester City.

Recently it was rumoured Los Blancos were the favourites in the race to secure his signature, but the player’s father ended up putting rumours of a visit to the Santiago Bernabeu to bed with a public denial.

Liverpool target Endrick receives PSG offer

When talk of Real Madrid arose, it almost seemed like a done deal regarding the youngster.

As a Brazilian teenager, the likes of Madrid and Barcelona are the clubs these youngsters stereotypically seem to admire and hope to someday play for.

South Americans seem to dream of playing in El Clásico, and this has even proven to be the case for a number of Liverpool stars.

In 2014, Luis Suarez made the move to the Catalan giants, whilst Philippe Coutinho followed in his footsteps in 2018 – achieving a life-long dream.

Therefore, it wasn’t a surprise to see Los Blancos touted as the favourites to sign Endrick.

However, with PSG being the only club to have made an official proposal, this throws everything up into the air.

The likes of Liverpool still remain in contention, but they must act fast if they are to have any chance of convincing the youngster to make the Merseyside switch.

Having been hailed as a ‘phenomenon’ by Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus, the 16-year-old is sure to be a world-class talent the Reds won’t want to miss out on.
