Real Madrid won’t meet Borussia Dortmund’s asking price for Jude Bellingham, according to reports. Liverpool may have an advantage.
This comes from Sport. They claim that Real Madrid won’t pay what Borussia Dortmund are after for Jude Bellingham in 2023.
The German club want roughly €150m or £130m for the English midfielder. Real, who see Bellingham as their priority signing, won’t go that high.
Los Blancos aren’t backing out of a move, however. They still think they can sign Bellingham but are relying on the player to actively push for a transfer – as is the Real Madrid way. If the 19-year-old take an all-or-nothing stance, Dortmund may be forced to lower their price in order to get any transfer done.
Jude Bellingham asking price
Liverpool also want Bellingham, as reported by everyone under the sun. Sport Bild were one of the most recent, claiming that the interest in the player is enormous at the moment. So much so that his Dortmund teammates worry it’s affecting him.
The Athletic are another repeating that £130m value. Liverpool can put themselves in a fantastic position, then, by agreeing to pay it. At the end of the day, Dortmund could take an all-or-nothing stance of their own – Bellingham moves for their asking price or not at all.

Should they do that, Real may be out of the race. They’re the primary rivals for Liverpool when it comes to Bellingham. Unfortunately, they’re not the only ones.
Sport Bild’s report mentions Manchester City as an interested party, for instance. Pep Guardiola also talked up Bellingham in the press last month, calling him ‘special’ and the ‘whole package’.
Thus Liverpool may find themselves battling for Bellingham, even if they do offer a fee in the £130m range. That would be a gigantic fee, of course, but one the Reds can potentially justify for someone who looks perfect for them.
