“Big steps, big steps, the boy’s an incredible package. He’s a real threat in the finishing area, involved in a lot of things, he’s involved in pretty much everything, always an option to pass to.”
The Uruguay international recently scored a 98th minute winner against the Italian giants on Tuesday, after coming on as a substitute just 25 minutes earlier.

Klopp showers praise on Nunez
Whilst the forward has received criticism for his technical ability on the ball since arriving at Anfield this summer, Nunez’s numbers in front of goal are actually severely underrated by the media.
On his Liverpool debut, the Uruguayan came off the bench early on in the second half and immediately caused chaos. Whilst fans will have been disappointed with the result, a 2-2 draw against Fulham, the former Benfica man got himself a goal and an assist – capping off a promising first display for the club.
In the last three Premier League games he has started, Nunez has bagged two goals. Even more impressively, in his last three Champions League appearances, he has scored in each consecutive game.

The 23-year-old has certainly withstood the physicality test of Premier League football, having demonstrated his strength and size when battling for the ball.
He has even been recorded as the fastest player to ever play in the English top-flight, having clocked a top speed of 23.61mph whilst facing West Ham – a game he actually scored the winner in.
At such a young age, Nunez has the potential to go on to have an illustrious career at Anfield over the next decade.
Therefore, the youngster should be given more time to settle in, having already been judged – despite the excellent promise he has clearly demonstrated.
