Liverpool are interested in signing 15-year-old Arsenal prospect Ethan Nwaneri.
That’s according to The Times. They claim that all of Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City are tracking the teenager.
This news comes after Nwaneri made Premier League history at the weekend. The Arsenal forward became the youngest player the division has ever seen by coming off the bench against Brentford.
Mikel Arteta reportedly gave Nwaneri his debut to ‘fast-track’ his development in light of interest from Liverpool and the two Manchester sides.

Liverpool hoping to tempt Nwaneri to Anfield
It was a special moment in the Premier League season on Sunday. Nwaneri became the first 15-year-old in the competition’s history.
A debut at such a young age is no guarantee of a successful career of course. But it does highlight the regard in which Nwaneri is held at Arsenal.
In quotes from the article in The Times, the youngster’s former headmaster calls the player’s ability ‘unbelievable.’ Nwaneri, who plays as an attacking midfielder, has also already been called up to England’s U17 squad.
Given his profile, it’s no surprise that Liverpool are interested in him. The Reds already boast the player who’s record Nwaneri broke – Harvey Elliott – within their squad.

In recent years Liverpool have stepped up their attempts to tempt the best youngsters from across the country to their academy.
When it boils down to it, whether or not they can poach Nwaneri will likely depend on the pathway they can assure him. The Reds can point to the likes of Elliott and Kaide Gordon as examples in this respect.
But Arteta has perhaps played a blinder by giving his player a taste of senior football already. At Arsenal, Nwaneri can look up to the likes of Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith-Rowe for inspiration.
It’s unlikely that we’ll see too much of Nwaneri in the Premier League for the rest of the season. But it sounds like work will be going on behind the scenes to try to tempt him to make the move up North.
