Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez was confused by what Andy Robertson was saying to him during yesterday’s training session.
As seen on LFCTV’s Inside Training video, Nunez simply couldn’t understand his teammate was trying to tell him.
Robertson was sold what he felt was a rogue pass by Nunez during a ‘rondo’ session. “Come on man!” yelled the Scot in fake outrage, as Darwin attempted to explain himself in Spanish.
The two continued to exchange words and smiles for several seconds as they tried, and failed, to get their points across. All’s well that ends well though, and Robertson and Nunez ended their debate with a playful cuddle.

Nunez still getting up to speed
This little exchange is evidence that Nunez is still not quite there in terms of communicating with his teammates.
That’s understandable of course, he’s only been here for two months after all. It will take much longer before he completely understands his new colleagues and their quirks.
The same is true of the Liverpool players understanding him, too. Nunez seems like a strong personality, and it’ll take a while until he finds his place within the makeup of the squad.
In that respect, the last two weeks will have done him a lot of good. Away from the glare of the spotlight the 23-year-old will have had the opportunity to quietly get his feet under the table.

Without the need for the matchday routine, he has hopefully been able to spend some more time with his family settling into their new home.
With a bit of luck, that will all feed into a more relaxed Darwin Nunez on the pitch. Before the sending off, all the early signs were good from the Uruguayan. As he gets to know his surroundings and the players he’s joining, he’ll be a super player for Liverpool.
He’ll be raring to go for the Derby this Saturday. It’ll be interesting to see if Jurgen Klopp decides to start him or not.
