Injured Liverpool forward Diogo Jota could be back in training before the end of August.
That’s according to Goal, who claim that the Liverpool player’s return from injury ‘may’ come over the next week or so.
Jota hasn’t played for Liverpool in any capacity since May’s Champions League final defeat almost three months ago. In his absence The Reds have looked decidedly short of the kind of goal-scoring pedigree he can offer.
Along with Jota, Curtis Jones could reportedly also return to the fold before the month is out.

Liverpool looking desperate for reinforcements
Finally, a little bit of potentially good news for Liverpool on the injury front. Although Jota is no longer a guaranteed starter for Jurgen Klopp, he could have really made a difference in these opening weeks.
The Reds have so far been struggling to put the ball in the net this season. They could have used Jota’s handy knack for turning up with a goal.
He may have dropped out of form over the closing months of last season, but the 25-year-old is still one of the best goal poachers in the league. Renowned goal scorer Darren Bent went as far as calling him ‘brilliant’ via TalkSPORT.
While others may snatch and miss good opportunities, Jota is a killer when faced with the goal.

He also regularly turns up for Liverpool against the Premier League’s fellow ‘big 6.’ Take Manchester United for example, the Portugal star has scored in each of his two previous league visits to Old Trafford for Liverpool.
How they could have done with that last night.
Of course, there’s still no guarantee that he starts upon his return. Darwin Nunez will also be back available for selection around a similar time and would probably be considered first-choice for Klopp.
But one look at the bench last night tells you that it’s in reserve where Liverpool are also struggling. To have a player like Jota to come off the bench can make all the difference in the world. Hurry back, Diogo, we’ve missed you.
