Arnaut Danjuma is a transfer target for West Ham United this summer, despite rumours of interest from Liverpool.
That’s according to The Guardian, who claim that West Ham have ‘approached’ Villarreal over the Dutch international.
However, it’s claimed that it will be ‘tricky’ for The Hammers to convince Danjuma to join them. The 25-year-old has proven himself in the Champions League this season and is reportedly ‘not short’ of interest from other clubs.
Although Liverpool aren’t specifically mentioned as being amongst those other clubs, there has reportedly been previous interest from Anfield.

Liverpool surely out of the running
It was only a few short weeks ago that Danjuma publicly declared his knowledge of interest from Liverpool. The Villarreal man even went as far as saying that he’d definitely consider joining a club like The Reds.
As recently as earlier this month it was reported that Liverpool still had the Dutchman in their thoughts.
On that occassion it was Fabrizio Romano who claimed that Danjuma was an alternative to Darwin Nunez should that deal fail to be completed.
As it transpired, Liverpool got Nunez over the line. Perhaps that signalled the end of Jurgen Klopp considering Danjuma as an option.

Given the current make-up of the Liverpool squad, it would seem unnecessary to bring the former Bournemouth man in now.
He’s a good player, and was called ‘dangerous’ by Bayern boss Julian Nagelsmann via Goal. But If they still feel the need to bolster their attacking options, then a right-sided left-footer is the necessity. Danjuma isn’t that.
Either way, it looks as though the forward will be on the move this summer. Whether that’s at Anfield, or most likely, elsewhere, it looks likely that he’ll be playing in the Premier League in 2022/23.
