Darwin Nunez has lauded the talents of his fellow Liverpool attackers after signing with the club.
Speaking to liverpoolfc.com following his unveiling yesterday, Nunez said he can’t wait to play with Diogo Jota, Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz.
“There are some top, top players here with great qualities,” said the 22-year-old. “There is Firmino, who’s a great player, and then Jota who is another great striker. Luis Diaz, Salah.
“To play alongside these monsters is going to be something really special for me.”

With Sadio Mane on the way out, he doesn’t get a mention from the new-boy. But what an attack Liverpool now have.
The famous five
If Mane’s move goes through as expected, Jurgen Klopp will look to his five attackers to light up the Premier League.
Jota, Salah, Diaz, Firmino and now Nunez. That is some firepower for the manager to be able to call upon next season.
Between them, they scored 119 goals last season, averaging out at around 24 each.

With game-time having to be juggled a little, there’s little chance of them plundering such an amount again. But it just illustrates how prolific they are individually and as a group.
Also, with the five substitute rule now permanently in place in football, Klopp will have more scope to rotate in-game.
This will surely lead to more minutes for the likes of Firmino, who was side-lined at times last campaign.
If all that wasn’t enough, Liverpool can also count on the entrance of Fabio Carvalho. The 19-year-old is expected to play a versatile role across the forward line next season and adds his 11 goals last season to the pile.

Exciting times for The Reds.
We never saw the famous five of Firmino, Salah, Jota, Diaz and Mane share a pitch together.
This quintet has at least a full season to do it. It’s an unlikely scenario, but it would be something special to see Liverpool’s full attacking arsenal on display all at once.
