Jurgen Klopp has been impressed with how Neco Williams has been playing at left wing-back for Wales.
According to the Liverpool Echo, the Reds boss has ‘noted’ how the 21-year-old has performed in the role, which he has never played for Liverpool.
Williams is reportedly a target for a ‘number of clubs’ this summer. But Liverpool wouldn’t be averse to keeping him still.
Should their pursuit of Calvin Ramsay be unsuccessful, The Reds would reportedly ‘consider the long-term future’ of Williams. A loan move is said to be of no interest though, with either a permanent move or staying at Anfield the only options.
Another string to Neco’s bow
Williams has indeed been really impressive whether playing on the right or on the left. He has been a key player for Wales as they qualified for the World Cup for the first time in 64 years.
At this stage though, it still looks unlikely that the 21-year-old will have a future at Liverpool. The Ramsay deal looks close, even though Aberdeen have upped their demands.

Perhaps his new-found versatility could see him utilised even if Liverpool do bring in Ramsay. But at left-back, the depth actually looks even better.
Andy Robertson is almost as immovable as Trent Alexander-Arnold on the opposite side. Meanwhile Kostas Tsimikas is one of the best back-ups in the game.
Rather than adding value to his pursuit of game-time at Liverpool, the new string to his bow could be used to bump up his asking price.
Liverpool have reportedly increased that valuation from £10m to £15m for this summer. If he can keep demonstrating such versatility, maybe The Reds can even ask for a little more.
