Reported Liverpool target Darwin Nunez has the same agent as both Diogo Jota and Fabinho.
That’s according to The Daily Mail, who report that Nunez has identical representation to the Liverpool pair, as well as incoming signing Fabio Carvalho.
They claim that The Reds have been in discussion with Benfica for the striker, and are prepared to ‘smash’ their transfer record to sign him.
Manchester United and Atletico Madrid are also said to want the 22-year-old. But Nunez is reportedly ‘keen’ to move to Liverpool in a deal which could reach up to £85m.

More claims from reputable outlets
Things look like they could start to move quickly on this one now. This morning the Portuguese press reported that Liverpool had made a bid of £85m for the Uruguayan striker.
This has since been denied by both The Athletic and The Times. However, the magic figure of £85m does crop up in both of those reports.
The Athletic describe it as ‘a potential stumbling block,’ while The Times report that Liverpool will continue to look at other targets.

They also claim that the prospect of working with Jurgen Klopp appeals to the young forward.
Agent relationships paying off
This back and forth with claim and counter-claim feels as though there’s a little bit of mind games being played in the local press for Benfica and Liverpool.
But the interest is clearly there from all parties. With everyone on the same page, hopefully an acceptable deal can be hashed out soon.
It does seem an extraordinary amount for Liverpool to commit on a player. For them to even entertain the prospect of paying such a fee must mean that they’re completely sold on his qualities.

These kind of deals are always delicate to do. Maybe the familiarity of the agents to Liverpool can help smooth things along.
Particularly pertinent may be the fact that Carvalho has the same representation. Liverpool must have dealt with them recently to tie up the youngster’s contract at Anfield.
That seemed to go without a hitch. Hopefully the good relations can be forged even further with Nunez.
