Liverpool have rejected another bid from Bayern Munich for the sale of Sadio Mane.
According to The Times, Bayern have come back with a meagre £2.5m raise on their last offer to Liverpool.
This would reportedly account for £23.5m up-front with another £6.5m in add-ons. However, the bid was ‘swiftly rejected’ by Liverpool.
In fact, Liverpool are claimed to have deemed the German champions offer as ‘laughable’ due to the nature of the bonuses.

Liverpool laugh off Bayern’s strange bonuses
For Liverpool to receive the full £30m fee, The Times report that Bayern Munich would reportedly have to win the Champions League for the next three seasons.
The Reds would be well within their rights to reject the offer based on that alone. But it’s claimed that that isn’t the end of it.
Mane would also reportedly have to win the Ballon d’Or in each of those three seasons.
Although Mane is obviously a brilliant player, that simply isn’t going to happen. As a result, Liverpool would be accepting a fee of just £23.5m for one of their star players. Instead, Julian Ward is said to be using £42.5m as a ‘benchmark’ for any deal.

It’s reported that Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic wants to fly to Merseyside to meet with his counterpart at Liverpool, Ward.
However, Liverpool have reportedly deemed such a meeting ‘pointless’ and have insisted that it ‘will not happen.’
For Bayern to behave so lackadaisically suggests that they must be incredibly confident of getting a deal done.
Liverpool must stick to their guns to ensure they extract maximum value for their number 10.
