Roberto Firmino is waiting for a contract offer from Liverpool and would be willing to extend his stay at Anfield.
That’s according to the Liverpool Echo, who claim that Firmino would be ‘receptive’ to signing a new deal with The Reds.
It appears as though no new deal has yet been discussed. But should one be forthcoming, the Brazilian is said to be open to the idea of staying in Liverpool.
Like fellow attackers Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, Firmino’s contract is set to expire next summer.

One out of three ain’t bad
At a time when Mane is openly angling for a move away from the club, and Salah’s future remains up in the air, this is great news to hear.
Although his deal ends at the same time as those two, Firmino has so far stayed relatively quiet on his future.
He did indicate that he was happy at Liverpool during a rare interview last month. But otherwise it has been radio silence on the Bobby front both from the man himself and in the press.

That’s usually reason to be concerned in regard of a new contract for a player. That’s simply the man Firmino is, though. He goes about his business in a quiet way away from the spotlight.
The best in the world is Bobby Firmino
With the prospect of losing Salah and Mane very real, it would be absolutely brilliant if Bobby could stay at Liverpool.
Sometimes his subtle brilliance goes unappreciated by the wider footballing community. Liverpool fans know just how good the man signed for £29m in 2016 is though.
A frustrating season last time out has made his contract something of an afterthought. He couldn’t stay fit for the first time in his Liverpool career and lost his place in the national team, too. Bobby still has much to offer though.

Unlike Salah and Mane, he doesn’t have much pace to lose. His game is reliant on skill on the ball and clever movement.
As he moves into his thirties, the Brazil international shouldn’t lose those qualities. If nothing else he is an absolutely brilliant option from the bench.
Liverpool looked more like scoring in the Champions League final once Firmino came on and that isn’t a coincidence.
Like his more celebrated teammates, he is already a Liverpool legend. It’s time to make sure that he can stay at the club into the Autumn of his career to keep showing exactly why The Kop call him ‘the best in the world.’
