Liverpool have today released their new home shirt for the 2022/23 season, with Luis Diaz featuring in the photoshoot.
In pictures from liverpoolfc.com, Nike have provided The Reds with a clean and simple design for the new season.
After giving Liverpool some orange-like accents for this years edition, next year’s will be a much more basic offering.
Traditionalists are likely to be delighted, whereas the inevitable shouts of ‘boring’ will no doubt be heard too.
Diaz looking good in red
It’s great to see Diaz featuring in Liverpool’s kit launch. The Colombian has quickly become a favourite amongst Reds fans and epitomises the hunger of this current squad.
Diaz doesn’t need flashy shirts and accessories to show off his skills on the pitch, he lets his football do all the talking!
Elsewhere on the photoshoot, it’s a slight surprise to see Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain involved. The 28-year-old looks overwhelmingly unlikely to be at the club next season.

Despite that, his reputation as Liverpool’s go-to-guy for the behind the scenes kit launches seems to have preceded him. We’ll look forward to the latest offering of Ox teasing his teammates as they try out the new kit.
It will be a shame to wave goodbye to Liverpool’s home kit for 2021/22. The smart design from Nike has the potential to be an iconic kit if The Reds can make their quadruple dream a reality.
But onwards and upwards. While there are some, like Oxlade-Chamberlain, who may not feature in this shirt too much, there is the promise of some exciting new faces sporting it in their absence.
