Harvey Elliott says his brother cried when meeting one of his Liverpool teammates. The Reds’ youngster is getting used to life at Anfield.

Harvey Elliott gave an interview with Soccer Bible this week where he discussed his life with Liverpool. From the number he wears on his back to working with Jurgen Klopp, Elliott was open.

And one thing that’s very easy to glean from the interview is the teenager’s love for Liverpool. He’s been a life-long fan of the club – Elliott is literally living his dream right now.

In fact, his entire family is as the 19-year-old continues to rise through the ranks in senior football. Elliott explained how was little brother was hit particularly hard when meeting one of his teammates for the first time.

“I think it’s a dream for everyone to be honest,” Elliott explained. “My little brother is a Liverpool fan and he’s been a Liverpool fan all along, so for him to be able to go along to all the games, home and away, to meet the players.

“He met Roberto Firmino for the first time and I actually think he did cry, to be honest!

“For them as well it’s a dream come true. My dad supported them all along so he goes along to all the games.”

And it’s obviously great to see how much Elliott is loving his life with Liverpool. The teenager arrived to quite a lot of hype – in fact, given his age at the time, he arrived to overwhelming hype.

But Elliott is largely living up to it. Some of his performances this season have been fantastic, with only injury really derailing him. We do believe Liverpool can unlock a true superstar in Elliott down the line.

And if they do, it sounds as though he’ll stick around for a very long time to come.
