Roberto Firmino has been seen joining in with Liverpool training ahead of their game with Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.
As seen in footage from Sky Sports via Football Daily on Twitter, Firmino was being put through his paces along with his teammates.
The 30-year-old had been missing since the FA Cup semi-final win over Manchester City in April. Although it is just light jogging and no ball-work involved, it’s hopefully a positive sign that Bobby is ready to contribute.
Season of frustration for Firmino
For such a previously integral player, Firmino has played frustratingly little football for Liverpool this season.
In years gone by it would have been unthinkable for The Reds to line up without the Brazilian. He has been virtually ever-present since signing joining from Hoffenheim for £29m in 2015. But in his continued absence, Liverpool have been flying.
A series of niggly knocks seem to have been Bobby’s problem. There has been a certain vagueness over the diagnoses, but he has missed four or five games here and there rather than over a bigger chunk.

This has led to him losing his previously untouchable place in Jurgen Klopp’s forward line.
Bobby’s back for good
It would be wrong to say that Liverpool have struggled without him – clearly they haven’t. However, there remains no one in the Reds squad, or perhaps in world football, with his skillset.
In games where Liverpool have needed to get their foot on the ball better, they have missed his guile.
Having been short of full fitness last time Liverpool reached the Champions League final, hopefully Bobby can get up to speed before May 28th.
The Brazil international is very unlikely to start that game as things stand. But given his goalscoring record when he has been fit this season, you wouldn’t bet against him having a say in the outcome.
