Mohamed Salah’s relationship with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp remains strong, despite the deadlock over contract renewal talks for the player.
That’s according to journalist Fabrizio Romano. Writing for Anfield Watch, the transfer expert said that player and manager’s relationship continues to be ‘excellent.’
Romano claims that Salah’s contract issues are ‘exclusively financial’ and that a ‘fundamental point of the story’ is that the Egyptian is happy at Liverpool.

The 29-year-old reportedly ‘loves the club, the fans and his teammates.’ As well as his excellent relationship with Klopp, Salah continues to get along brilliantly with ‘all club staff,’ too.
Not all good news
Unfortunately, this isn’t necessarily the good news it sounds like it should be.
It’s encouraging to hear that Salah is happy and that he and Klopp are still getting along as well as ever. But that just makes the fact that a contract is yet to be signed all the more galling.

If the player wasn’t happy, then that’s a different story, there are things the club can do to put that right. However, if it’s a financial aspect, as Romano is clear that it is, then Liverpool are working under certain restraints.
There is no quick fix for restructuring the club’s wage structure. The decision appears to be either Liverpool break their current structure, or they don’t.
It helps that Salah’s happiness at playing for The Reds is strong and he is willing to negotiate of course. But ultimately, the club will know how high they can go.

The fact remains that Mo could secure the package he is looking for at another club. He will have to decide whether his love for Liverpool and playing for Klopp is enough to settle for what he is being offered.
A nervous summer looks to be in store for Liverpool fans as Salah is linked with a move away. These contract talks don’t look to be being finalised any time soon.
