Liverpool reportedly see absolutely perfect timing for a Jude Bellingham deal. The Reds could see a bright future with the player.

SportBild report that both Liverpool and Real Madrid want Jude Bellingham. That, of course, comes as no surprise to anyone as the midfielder is one of the biggest young talents around. A player Erling Haaland considers to be ‘phenomenal’.

In fact, Goal recently named Bellingham as the biggest young talent around. He topped their NXTGen list as the greatest prospect around.

Obviously, then, the Reds and Real would like to have Bellingham on their books. SportBild believe any buying club must be patient, however, as Borussia Dortmund won’t sell until 2023.

That might suit Liverpool, though. The timing feels absolutely perfect.

Liverpool want Jude Bellingham

Bellingham is a potential superstar and Liverpool could secure the future of their midfield with him. We’ve written before about him justifiably being the Reds’ first £100m signing.

And that’s something we stand by. It might even be more justifiable in 2023, when this transfer can supposedly happen.

Liverpool’s midfield will soon be crying out for someone like Bellingham, after all. Both Thiago and Jordan Henderson – the starting players in Bellingham’s position – are now both over 30 and will be starting to wind down by next summer.

On top of that, both Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita’s contracts expire at that time. Liverpool will be looking to restructure their midfield and there is no better replacement than Bellingham.

Literally, there isn’t. He’s the ideal fit for the playing style, a homegrown player for the Premier League quota and good enough to step in right away. Bellingham is also young enough to stick around for a long, long time – making that £100m (or whatever the eventual fee is) seem like a solid investment.

This summer, with all the competition in midfield, Liverpool likely can’t justify a record-breaking fee. Wait one year, however, and it might even be a bargain.
