Liverpool star Mohamed Salah would be a ‘dream’ signing for Juventus manager Max Allegri

That’s as reported in Calciomercato who claim that despite Allegri’s wishes, the deal would be ‘very difficult’ to get done.

However, it’s also reported that due to the ‘Growth Decree’ in Italy, Juventus could get a 25% discount on the tax from Salah’s salary. That could make a deal more manageable for the Italian side.

Keep dreaming

If Salah were to leave Liverpool, it’s hard to see why he would choose to join a declining Juventus side.

He has of course played in Italy before, for both Roma and Fiorentina. Salah is on record as saying how much he enjoyed his time in Serie A.

But the league is not what it once was. Juventus, able to attract the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo in the not too distant past, are barely scraping into the top four this season.

That’s not taking into account their failure in the Champions League, too. After signing Ronaldo with the remit of winning the competition, the Old Lady have now fallen at the last-16 hurdle in each of the last three seasons.

Salah is one of the best players in the world. He should be at a club competing for trophies domestically and abroad. A club like, say, Liverpool.

Don’t go, Mo

It’s understandable that Salah is being linked to clubs like Juventus. After the news that he rejected Liverpool’s latest contract offer in December, his future at Anfield has been cast into doubt.

However, Mo is reportedly keen to continue on Merseyside. He is just waiting for the club to offer him what he thinks is a fair deal.

It would be a huge blow if The Reds were to lose their main source of goals. Salah has been ridiculously good since joining in 2017 and what he gives to the team can’t be replicated.

The Egyptian recently scored his 150th goal for Liverpool. After which, Jurgen Klopp called him ‘outstanding’ via Eurosport.

Let’s hope that the current impasse can be broken soon enough and Salah goes on to spend the rest of his career wearing Liverpool red.
