Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp made it clear that he’s a huge fan of Jarrod Bowen ahead of a meeting with West Ham United this weekend. The Reds supposedly want to sign him.
The Athletic wrote this season that Liverpool like the look of West Ham United playmaker Jarrod Bowen. After listening to Jurgen Klopp, that shouldn’t surprise anyone.
“Bowen – what a player he became,” Klopp told a press conference on Friday. “Unbelievable. We saw him as well at Hull and he was really good. But I don’t think a lot of people expected this jump. Unbelievable player.”
Liverpool will come up against Bowen this weekend, of course, as West Ham visit Anfield. It’s safe to say that the Reds’ boss will have an eye on what the Englishman can do against his side, then.
Liverpool like Jarrod Bowen
Bowen is having a sensational season. He was already a shining light in this West Ham side, of course, but this season he’s moved up a level.
In fact, the Athletic wrote back in the summer that Liverpool wanted him. That was before this incredible season that has seen Bowen bag eight goals and eight assists. The Reds, it seems, saw the potential there.

Bowen has now confirmed it, though. And at just 25, there’s still room for further growth – growth that could see him become one of the Premier League’s best players.
Klopp is obviously a fan and so are we. We think Bowen would be a remarkable summer signing if Liverpool have the money – though, he certainly won’t be as cheap as the £20m West Ham paid for him.
But it honestly looks as though Bowen will be worth whatever his price tag rises to. He’s an outstanding player and if Klopp rates him this highly, Liverpool should strongly consider getting the cash ready.
