Liverpool have been named as one of the clubs interested in Middlesbrough right-back Djed Spence.
As reported in The Northern Echo, Liverpool are seen as being ‘potential suitors’ for the 21-year-old.
The report claims that Spence, who is currently excelling on loan at Nottingham Forest, could fetch the Championship club £15m.

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspurs are also named as clubs who are interested in signing Spence.
Who is Djed Spence
Spence’s performances for Forest this season have been garnering him some rave reviews.
After he scored in Forest’s 4-1 FA Cup demolition of Leicester City, Gary Lineker took to Twitter to express his admiration for the full-back’s display.
“To be fair, Spence and Johnson have been absolutely brilliant.” wrote Lineker, accompanied by some clapping emojis.
It isn’t the only praise to come Spence’s way recently.
Speaking to The Athletic earlier this week, Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli claimed the youngster was the toughest individual opponent he’d ever faced.
“Actually the guy from Nottingham Forest, Djed Spence, who I played against in the FA Cup,” Martinelli said.

“He is very strong, good on the ball, calm and quick. I was surprised; he is a really good player.”
Considering Martinelli has been faced with world-class opponents in the Premier League, this is praise worth listening to.
Do Liverpool need him
Liverpool could be looking for a right-back this summer. After Neco Williams departed for Fulham in January, Joe Gomez currently serves as back-up to Trent Alexander-Arnold.
That’s fine as a short-term measure. But Liverpool could do with someone who is more in Trent’s mould.
Williams has been brilliant so far for Fulham. The 21-year-old has instantly slotted in as The Cottagers first choice right-back.
He has played the full game in all five of their fixtures since signing on transfer deadline day, providing two assists.
Although this bodes well for his Liverpool chances, the more likely course of action is that he will be sold.

Williams has made clear in the past his desire to play first-team football to enhance his international chances for Wales.
That would open the door for a move for a player of Spence’s ilk.
Being young, Spence would likely be satisfied with a back-up role at Liverpool and could learn from one of the best in the business in Alexander-Arnold.
Although the price of £15m could be prohibitive. Despite his good form, it’s unlikely that Williams could be sold for more than that figure.
Therefore, it may make sense that Liverpool may explore cheaper alternatives. But this is certainly one to keep an eye on.
