Gary Neville has picked Alisson Becker, Mohamed Salah and Virgil Van Dijk of Liverpool in his Premier League all-time team.
Speaking on The Overlap Live: An Audience With Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher & Roy Keane (24mins), Neville was asked to pick his eleven.
Neville’s team wasn’t allowed to contain any Manchester United players. As a result, he went with three of The Reds current crop.

Playful boos from the audience at Manchester Apollo accompanied the reveal of Neville’s selection.
The pundit attempted to explain his decision to choose Liverpool’s goalkeeper over legends of the past.
“Alisson, it was either David Seaman or Petr Cech. Cech’s not for me,” said Neville as the boos continued.
It is a slight surprise to see the former Man United right-back to go with Alisson here, although maybe it shouldn’t be.
In December last year, Neville was effusive in his praise of the Brazilian stopper.
“I have to say, Alisson, he is a special goalkeeper. It’s a brilliant save,” Neville said whilst commentating on Liverpool’s 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspurs for Sky Sports.
A team full of legends
Although Neville couldn’t include United players in his team, it just goes to show the quality of Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool team.
Neville played Premier League football for almost 20 years, and has been a pundit for the last ten. Subsequently, he’s well placed to give his views.

The fact that both Van Dijk and Salah are already making all-time eleven’s is testament to how good both they and Liverpool have been over recent times.
The pair were also included in Roy Keane’s team. Although the Irishman opted for Cech in goal.
By the time they’re finished, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andy Robertson and more crop up in these kind of discussions in the future, too.
Carragher loving it
As ever, there was plenty of banter to be seen between the often on-screen adversaries Jamie Carragher and Neville.
With the crowd showing their dismay at some of his colleague’s selections, Carragher delighted in the fact that Neville had gone with Steven Gerrard in midfield.

“He’s gone with Gerrard over Scholes!” exclaimed Carra.
Of course the Liverpool legend knew that Neville couldn’t pick Scholes as a former Man United player.
But Carragher will no doubt leave that part out as he reminds his friend of his selection in future.
Neville’s full XI: Alisson; Azpilicueta, Van Dijk, Terry, Cole; Vieira, Gerrard, Henry, Silva, Salah; Shearer.
