Andy Robertson says that Virgil Van Dijk controls the pre-match music for Liverpool.
Robbo was previewing Sunday’s Carabao Cup Final in a video alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold for liverpoolfc.com.
As talk turned to the players’ pre-match preparations, Robertson was scathing of his Dutch teammate’s choice of music.

“We need to get you (Trent) on the pre-match playlist instead of Virg, because some of his music is shocking, shocking,” said the left-back.
This came after an admission from Alexander-Arnold that he keeps his headphones in “right up until the end” in the changing room.
According to Trent, he likes to listen to “all kinds of music”, even including some Madonna in his pre-game playlists.
This apparently appeals to Robertson. But he acknowledges the need to keep Van Dijk happy.
“As long as it keeps the big man happy though he’s alright isn’t he,” Robbo said.
Liverpool have a better chance of winning any game if Van Dijk is happy and relaxed, so we say let Virgil have his tunes, Robbo!

What else did they say
The two players looked ahead to the final with anticipation.
The pair have each played in two Champions League finals as well as the Super Cup and Club World Cup final. As a result, they are now relatively experienced in these big games.
But it’s the first time either have played in a domestic final in England, Community Shield aside. Trent is looking forward to seeing the travelling Kop.
“It’s always like a special moment for me because obviously you play a lot of away games but there’s only a small number of Liverpool fans,” said Alexander-Arnold.

“So it’s always like Anfield but in a different venue and it’s always good to see that.”
A return to Anfield South
Liverpool used to visit Wembley so much that it took on the nickname “Anfield South”.
But trips to the national stadium have been few and far between since it opened in 2007.
Liverpool had a successful period domestically immediately before this. They won the League Cup and FA Cup twice each between 2001 and 2006. But all of those finals took place in Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium.
Kenny Dalglish did lead The Reds to victory in the League Cup in London in 2012. But that represents the only time Liverpool have hoisted a trophy there.

That’s disappointing for a club that prides itself on its trophy haul. Chelsea meanwhile have won five FA Cups and two League Cups at the new Wembley.
Liverpool need to turn the tide on that statistic and establish themselves once again, starting with Sunday.
It’s been a while since we last saw the Hendo trophy shuffle, it’s about time we saw it on the Wembley stage.
