Braga boss Carlos Carvalhal expects new Liverpool signing Luis Diaz to light up the Premier League for The Reds, as per his comments to the Daily Mail.
The Portuguese manager has come up against Diaz already in the Primeira Liga this season. Diaz scored the winner when the two sides meant in December.

And by the sound of his comments, he’s happy not to have to face him again.
“He will be one of the stars of the league next season,” said Carvalhal. “He was the best player in the league last season, he did absolutely fantastic, he played on the left side with a right-foot.”
“He scores goals, he’s very intense, especially in attack. He’s a fantastic player,” said the former Swansea City manager.
We like the sound of that. Intensity is something that defines Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp. The German demands pressing all over the pitch, but it has to start from the forward line.

A match made in heaven
Carvalhal comments indicate that adapting to the Premier League won’t be a problem for Diaz. He even goes as far as saying that the Colombian is a near-perfect fit for The Reds.
“We all know how Liverpool play,” said the 56-year-old.
“It’s like when you have a number on your shoes, you’re a number eight for example, and you look at the shoes and say they’re exactly my number. That is Luis Diaz to Liverpool.”
That’s certainly a glowing recommendation from a rival coach. Having managed in English football for three seasons, Carvalhal is familiar with the type of attributes needed to be a success on these shores.

“He (Diaz) is dynamic, fast, very strong, creative, and very good one-on-one,” concludes the coach.
Although he isn’t one the biggest names in the game, Carvalhal’s standing as someone who has seen Diaz up close for the last two years add weight to his words.
Now we’re even more excited to see Diaz in action for The Reds.
