Data suggests Diogo Jota is one of the most dangerous dribblers around

Diogo Jota has become on the most dangerous dribblers in the Premier League, data suggests. The Liverpool star just keeps getting better.

For one, he’s the second top scorer in the Premier League. That’s not exactly an easy thing to achieve when the top scorer is your teammate. Jota doesn’t have everything go through him, nor is he the penalty taker. What he’s accomplishing in front of goal is remarkable.

In fact, no one boasts more xG in the Premier League this season. Not even Mohamed Salah. Jota is an attacking machine and right now, you’d have to call him one of the world’s best forwards.

But Jota isn’t just a finisher who gets on the end of chances created elsewhere. He’s also developing into a truly elite dribbler – and the best at Liverpool.

Diogo Jota continues to shine for Liverpool

We wrote a feature last month that covered the five best dribblers at Liverpool this season. Jota didn’t make the cut, with his stats not really competing with the best at the club.

Fast-forward to now, though, and there’s an argument that he’s the very best – or at least the most dangerous. Jota has created 11 shots this season, which is the most at Liverpool.

Not only that but it’s the second-highest amount in the Premier League. Only Adama Traore can beat him (12) on that count.

Four of those shots became goals and the only Premier League player to beat that number is Salah (5). Jota is quite literally one of the most dangerous dribblers around.

The fact that most of these came in the last month is pretty special, too. If Jota can keep up this form, he could end up hitting unprecedented heights.

It’s not exactly a secret that Jota is having a brilliant season but he continues to find ways to impress. There really can’t be many better than him right now.
