Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has been named in Garth Crooks’ Team of the Week for his performances against Newcastle and Tottenham.
With a condensed Premier League programme this weekend, Crooks has picked his team from performances over the last seven days.
Alexander-Arnold was mesmerising against the Magpies and scored a cracker to wrap up three points for Liverpool.

The England defender taking centre stage has been the story of the campaign in truth. He has been in fine form, scoring two goals and claiming 11 assists.
Alexander-Arnold, 23, will hope to continue firing and did actually claim an assist during yesterday’s 2-2 draw with Tottenham.
Crooks has been impressed of late and he’s raved about him during his Team of the Week piece.
He told BBC Sport: “One person who has been incredibly consistent this season is Alexander-Arnold.
“His use of the ball and quality of pass is second to none, while his goal against Newcastle went past Martin Dubravka like a missile.
“As for his volleyed cross in the first half against Spurs, that was just astonishing.”
Integral: Alexander-Arnold is massive for Liverpool
The Reds right-back is just brilliant. It’s almost as though missing out on Euro 2020 through injury has seen him rediscover some of his very best form.
This season he has really showcased his talents and some midfielders can only dream of registering 11 assists at the midway point of the season.

Alexander-Arnold could be on course for the magic 20 and that would be a remarkable achievement.
There are still some doubts over his ability to defend on a consistent basis. It’s fair to say it’s something he is working on though and should improve in the future.
Liverpool are firmly in the mix to challenge for the title this season. They’ll hope Alexander-Arnold can continue in this rich vein of form.
