4-3-3: Predicted Liverpool lineup sees Jurgen Klopp makes one change vs Wolves

It’s Wolves vs Liverpool on Saturday and here’s our predicted lineup for the Reds. Jurgen Klopp will likely make at least one change from the team that beat Everton.

Things look very bright at Liverpool right now. Injury concerns continue to clear up, the team is scoring goals for fun, and they just put the world right by smashing Everton.

Next up is Wolves at Molineux as the Reds try to keep the heat on in the title race.

There’s one big concern for the lineup here. Jurgen Klopp doesn’t like playing Wednesday-Saturday, believing it’s tough on players’ legs.

“Again, Wednesday-Saturday is always a time where we have to really think about, ‘How can we change?’,” he said after the Porto game last week.

“Saturday-Wednesday is completely different, it’s a day more, that’s what you need. But Wednesday-Saturday, after all the games we played, we have to really think about.”

So with that in mind, what can we expect to change?

Predicted Liverpool lineup vs Wolves

Defence

There are some certainties here. Alisson will play in goal, Virgil van Dijk will be at centre-back and Trent Alexander-Arnold will be the right-back.

Joel Matip, however, will surely be a change here. He was one that Klopp rested after that Porto game and we expect him to do similar here. Ibrahima Konate feels like a likely addition.

Then there’s left-back. Andy Robertson was magnificent against Everton but Kostas Tsimikas is an easy alternative if Klopp wants to rest the Scot. We think he’ll stick with Robertson, though, and go with Tsimikas against AC Milan.

Midfield

All three of Fabinho, Thiago and Jordan Henderson have question marks over their fitness. The only real replacements are Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner, though – and the latter is only just back from injury.

Our guess is that Liverpool stick with his first-choice trio against Wolves and then gives them a week off. That feels like the most sensible way to do this as there’s no need for any of them to face Milan.

Attack

Same again. There aren’t any concerns over Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Diogo Jota. Liverpool can afford to play all three against Wolves and then assess their fitness for midweek.
