Liverpool set to put out sensational XI we've never seen vs Everton tonight

Liverpool will likely put out an XI we’ve never seen before vs Everton tonight. The Reds can call on an incredibly strong team.

Over a year ago, Liverpool signed Thiago and Diogo Jota. It was almost certainly with a certain XI in mind.

Alisson
Alexander-Arnold – Matip – Van Dijk – Robertson
Fabinho
Henderson – Thiago
Salah – Firmino – Salah

Thiago arrived as a world-class player, after all, and there were serious doubts over Gini Wijnaldum’s future at the time. This, as we see it, was the plan last season.

Few would argue that the team was – and still is – Liverpool’s best XI. And yet they’ve never played together.

That outfield 10 featured just once – at Goodison Park last season. Alisson was injured, however, meaning Adrian started in goal.

That was also the game where Virgil van Dijk received a season-ending injury. Thiago would also be out for the next few months. By the time he returned, this XI wasn’t even possible.

And we still haven’t seen it. There have been slight problems for several players there – including, most obviously, Thiago.

He’s only just started getting back into the thick of things but it all looks promising. The Spaniard is starting games regularly and appears to have Jurgen Klopp’s trust.

With that, we could get one step closer to Liverpool’s best XI.

Liverpool to finally see best XI vs Everton

Now, Roberto Firmino is still out injured, meaning we won’t see that original XI for at least a little longer. But with Diogo Jota making a good case to replace the Brazilian, you can certainly argue that today will see Liverpool’s best XI for the first time.

We’re predicting so, with Klopp keeping the same team that crushed Southampton. He’s already said once that playing Saturday-Wednesday shouldn’t be a problem.

Joel Matip replacing Ibrahima Konate should be the only change and with that, we should see this:

Alisson
Alexander-Arnold – Matip – Van Dijk – Robertson
Fabinho
Henderson – Thiago
Salah – Jota – Mane

That, for us, is the best possible Liverpool XI right now. We’ve never seen it, of course, but on paper, it looks sensational.

And what better team to face it first than a struggling Everton side?
