'Time to announce': Some Liverpool fans have seen enough as Raphinha scores

Some Liverpool fans are all on the same page as Raphinha scores again. The Brazilian is having a great season.

Raphinha is enjoying a great time at the moment, consistently shining for Leeds United and Brazil. He continued that on Sunday, in fact, scoring a wonderful free-kick against Leicester City.

Now, it’s debatable whether Raphinha actually meant it. His delivery couldn’t really have been more perfect, though, begging for a touch that never came before nestling in the far corner.

Leicester City equalised immediately through a fantastic Harvey Barnes strike but Raphinha had certainly made his impact on Liverpool fans. Many took to Twitter to call for his signing.

Should Liverpool sign Raphinha?

It appears Liverpool really do want Raphinha. His agent, Deco, claims that the Reds made an approach over the summer, per Globo Esporte.

Leeds, however, didn’t want to sell. 2022 is an option but for now, Raphinha stays put at Elland Road.

And if 2022 is an option, you can bet that Liverpool are involved – as many big clubs will be. Raphinha is currently shining brightly, scoring five goals in ten games from the wing.

He has zero assists but we couldn’t tell you how. Raphinha creates an average of 2.2 chances per game for teammates – no one has capitalised on that, though.

But Liverpool could secure a goalscorer, a creator, and one of the Premier League’s best dribblers in one player. There’s talk of £50m getting it down and while that feels a little cheap, Raphinha could end up being a bargain.

The longer Raphinha’s form goes on, though, the higher that price will rise. And the more competition will arrive for him, too.

This great form is bittersweet for the Reds, then. While he looks like a great signing, Liverpool wanted him anyway.

But the fans have made their minds up, it seems. Hefty price or not, Raphinha would be a welcome arrival.
