Here’s our predicted Liverpool lineup to face West Ham United on Sunday. The Reds will look to head into the international break with a bang.
Wednesday evening went wonderfully for Liverpool. They beat Atletico Madrid 2-0, their fourth consecutive win in the Champions League.
That was enough to earn top spot in the group with two games to spare. It’s something to shout about.
It also went some way towards easing pressure after the Brighton result. Liverpool threw away a 2-0 lead in that game, giving up points in the title race.
But a win over West Ham will go even further to righting that. The Hammers are a very good side right now and this won’t be an easy task.
So let’s have a look at the decisions Jurgen Klopp faces.
Liverpool lineup decisions
Defence
Every predicted Liverpool team features Alisson – he’s an obvious one.
Trent Alexander-Arnold will start and we imagine Virgil van Dijk does, too. The other two spots in the back four are difficult to predict.
Kostas Tsimikas played very well against Atletico and may keep his place. But a fresh Andy Robertson is likely too tempting to leave out.
And should Klopp stick with Joel Matip or bring in Ibrahima Konate? We think he’ll go with Matip, given the win over Atletico looked more secure than the Brighton draw.
Midfield
Again, this one is a little unclear for a predicted team. Jordan Henderson is a certainty and we imagine Fabinho will be, too. The Brazilian went off early against Atletico, presumably to save him for this one.

As for the other spot, there are two obvious options – Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Thiago. Both make sense, honestly, but we think Klopp will wait a little longer before starting the Spaniard.
For one thing, Oxlade-Chamberlain played very well against Atletico and deserves a second Premier League start of the season.
Forwards
Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Diogo Jota. Roberto Firmino’s hamstring injury sets this one in stone.
