Liverpool reportedly spent 3 years scouting Karim Adeyemi before decision

Liverpool have had eyes on Karim Adeyemi for years, according to reports. The Reds will supposedly bid very soon.

There’s been some talk in recent days that Liverpool want Karim Adeyemi. No, he’s not the biggest name in football but he’s likely someone you’ll hear a lot about over the next few months.

That’s because Adeyemi is the latest star striker coming out of RB Salzburg. Following in the footsteps of Erling Haaland and Patson Daka, the 19-year-old has started the season on fire.

He’s got six goals in six games, earning him a debut for Germany this week. On which he scored, of course.

We went into more depth on who Adeyemi is here. In short, he’s a very bright prospect and one to watch ahead of January.

Bild say Liverpool are readying a move for the teenager, while Transfermarkt claim that move could come this winter. They’re not wasting time, then.

And there’s a pretty good reason for that. Per Goal, Liverpool have had eyes on Adeyemi since at least 2018. This is a player the Reds have done their homework on.

Could Liverpool sign Karim Adeyemi?

If Liverpool have truly looked at him for that long, then there’s a very good chance they get this done quickly. Interest is only going to heat up, after all, and acting fast could be key.

Really, they’ve already waited too long. Bild claim Bayern Munich want Adeyemi, while Transfermarkt name Barcelona. The competition is arriving and may only grow ahead of January.

Especially after Haaland, too. Every elite club on the planet will regret not going all-out for him two years ago. Instead, Borussia Dortmund got themselves a bargain.

Teams won’t want to make that same mistake. Liverpool, however, can perhaps tempt Adeyemi by showing just how true their interest is.

But we’ve got to ask: if Liverpool have had eyes on RB Salzburg since 2018, how on earth did they miss Haaland?
