Club President sees Karim Adeyemi landing in Premier League

Karim Adeyemi could be destined for the Premier League. That’s certainly the impression one club president gets.

Karim Adeyemi is a young player who has truly burst onto the scene in 2021. And you’ll only hear his name more and more.

He’s the latest goalscorer to make his name at RB Salzburg, following in the footsteps of Erling Haaland and Patson Daka. Six goals in his first six games this season suggest Adeyemi is of the same ilk.

That form earned the wonderkid a callup to the German national team. His debut came during the week and, unsurprisingly, he scored against Armenia.

The 19-year-old is now in pretty high demand. Bild claim that Liverpool want him, along with Bayern Munich. Transfermarkt say the Reds could bid as soon as January, with Barcelona ready to rival them.

We went more in-depth on who Adeyemi is here. In short, he looks like a very right prospect and we’re not surprised Liverpool have an interest.

And it sounds as though they might just hold an advantage, too.

Karim Adeyemi to the Premier League?

Adeyemi was actually at Bayern way back when. A dispute forced him out, however, and he joined regional Bavarian side SpVgg Unterhaching.

Now Manfred Schwabl, their current President, believes the club’s former player is destined to move to England.

“If he came back to Germany, it would only be an intermediate step,” he told Sport1. “In the long run, he’s a player for England.

“He is quick and ready for duels. You have already seen that against Armenia.

“He’ll score goals. In the long run, the island [Britain] will be his home.”

If Schwabl is right, then Liverpool can smile at this one. Though, Adeyemi will need to see things the same way. He’s German, after all, and Bayern’s pull is remarkably strong there.

But then, he’s walked away from them before.

Liverpool stand a good chance, though. Schawbl should know more about the player than most and he sounds pretty confident that Adeyemi will move to England.

And if that’s the case, the Reds will be waiting.
