Liverpool only made the one summer signing. The Reds brought in Ibrahima Konate and decided against any further additions. Kopites were left disappointed with a midfielder and a forward desperately needed, though things could change mid-season. According to a report by The Mirror, Liverpool could move for Yves Bissouma in January.

Midfield shorthanded?
The Reds lost a key player this summer.
After five years at Anfield Gini Wijnaldum left the club.
The Dutchman’s contract expired and he signed for PSG on a free transfer.
During his stay at Liverpool nobody played more minutes than Gini.
He rarely missed a Premier League game and that kind of reliability is vital.

Since his departure we’ve seen Harvey Elliott converted into a centre midfielder and Naby Keita manage to stay fit.
However, we can’t rely fully on either player due to Harvey’s inexperience and Naby’s injury record.
Liverpool could move for Yves Bissouma
The Reds were persistently linked with one Premier League midfielder in particular over the summer.
According to a report by The Mirror, Liverpool could move for Yves Bissouma in the January window.
The outlet has claimed that the Reds, along with Manchester United and Arsenal could revisit a move for the attacker when the window reopens.
Brighton would allegedly demand around £40m for the Malian midfielder.
What RTK has to say
Liverpool don’t often do business in the January window so this one would be a surprise.
Though, if we have a couple of injuries between now and then we can’t rule it out.
There is also the danger that Bissouma’s price tag could rise by then, he has started the season strongly.
