Liverpool fans have been growing frustrated with this transfer window. The Reds have only made the one signing despite selling rafts of fringe stars. Our rivals haven’t been so cautious. Liverpool have missed a bargain in Odsonne Edouard with Crystal Palace set to sign the Frenchman.
Liverpool need a striker
Last weekend the Reds faced Chelsea at Anfield.
The visitors went down to 10 men with a half yet to play.
Despite the man advantage Jürgen Klopp’s men couldn’t break down a stubborn Blues defence.
Even though we needed a goal the boss refused to bring on an attacker, speaking volumes about the trust he has in his attacking depth.
We need an out and out striker who can turn the game in those decisive moments, who can sniff out a chance when we’re up against a parked bus.
Odsonne Edouard set for Crystal Palace
Whilst the Reds are sitting on their hands sides around us are strengthening.
Manchester United have added Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo to their attack.
Manchester City have recruited Jack Grealish and Chelsea have brought in Romelu Lukaku.
Deadline day will likely see Odsonne Edouard seal a move to Crystal Palace.
Sky Sports has reported that the Celtic striker is on the verge of a £15m switch.
Liverpool should’ve signed Odsonne Edouard
I’m beginning to sound like a broken record here.
Liverpool should’ve been in the race for Odsonne Edouard.
At just £15m he’s an absolute bargain of a signing.
He boasts mountains of first team experience and he knows where the net is.
Just 23-years-old he is going to keep getting better, a couple of seasons ago he netted 21 in 27 games in the league.
Missing out on Edouard at that price is a real mistake when Jürgen Klopp so desperately needs a striker.
