Liverpool are expected to add quality in depth to the forward line this summer. The Reds have been short of competition for the past four years. Liverpool should land reported target Raphinha from Leeds United using Neco Williams and Harry Wilson.
Liverpool need a forward
The front three have been without competition for four years.
Since Mo Salah arrived and the trio was assembled we’ve not seen any serious quality in depth.
The trident has never had to fight for its place on the pitch.
Diogo Jota joined last summer to help remedy the situation. However, he has often starred alongside the trio.
Given the lack of goals from January onwards the need for a new forward to sign has become even more important.
Liverpool want Raphinha
Last October Leeds signed Raphinha for £17m.
The Brazilian winger had an outstanding first season in the Premier League.
He scored six and assisted nine for the Yorkshire side though those numbers don’t do his overall contribution justice.
The Metro recently claimed that Liverpool hold an interest in Raphinha ahead of the summer transfer window.
Liverpool Leeds swap deal
There could be an opportunity for a swap deal here.
Meanwhile The Mirror has previously claimed that the Reds could use Harry Wilson to entice Leeds United into a sale.
Given that the Yorkshire side reportedly hold an interest in two Reds, Liverpool could look to do a swap deal with Leeds United.
We are always looking to save money, giving Marcelo Bielsa’s club two players and a bit of cash for Raphinha could be a wise move.
