Liverpool fans will surely be keeping a keen eye on the Championship this season. The Reds have a few players out on loan in the second tier and they’ve gotten off to a strong start. Sepp van den Berg has been named in the Championship Team of the Week after he netted a wonder goal at the weekend.
The Reds aren’t particularly known for letting their top young talents go out on loan but that policy seems to have shifted somewhat in recent seasons.
Now we’re seeing some of the club’s brightest youngsters being sent out but primarily to clubs nearby.
For instance last season Harvey Elliott joined Blackburn Rovers.
This term Leighton Clarkson has taken his place.
Meanwhile, Sepp van den Berg has joined Preston North End for the season.
In contrast, Ben Woodburn has been loaned to Hearts and Ben Davies will spend the campaign with Sheffield United.

This weekend was a solid one for one loanee in particular.
Sepp van den Berg has been named in the Championship Team of the Week.
The 20-year-old defender had a blinder for Preston.
He scored his second goal in two games last week, netting a pearler against Swansea City.
The youngster drew comparisons to Harry Kane for the strike.
A long ball was floated into the box, Sepp controlled it well before turning inside his defender and firing into the bottom corner. Any striker would’ve been proud.

Liverpool fans need to start getting excited about Van den Berg.
Preston supporters certainly are and with just cause.
The lanky Dutchman is putting in some astounding performances for the second tier side.
Hopefully he continues to impress this season and he plays himself into Jürgen Klopp’s plans as a result.
