Liverpool fans are getting excited and with good reason. The Reds have a diamond on their hands. Harvey Elliott has started back to back Premier League games and he’s looked the business in both. The wonderkid’s emergence should see Liverpool loan Curtis Jones out this summer.
Harvey Elliott wonderkid
Liverpool signed Harvey Elliott from Fulham in the wake of the Reds’ lifting the European Cup in Madrid.
Since joining he’s blitzed the academy and been sent out on loan.
Last season Harvey Elliott spent the campaign at Blackburn Rovers.
The teenager was a standout performer for the Championship side.
In 41 games he scored seven and assisted 11, he should’ve won the division’s young player of the year.
This season the boss has shown great faith in Harvey Elliott.
The wonderkid started against Burnley and impressed enough to keep his place in the side to face Chelsea.
Against the Blues he caught the eye again with his confidence and deft touches. He is the business and he will likely get plenty of minutes this season.
Liverpool should loan Curtis Jones
The emergence of Harvey Elliott in the centre of midfield could have a knock on effect.
Liverpool should loan Curtis Jones out for this season or his development could be stunted.
It’s safe to say that the Scouser has fallen below Elliott in the pecking order and at 20-years-old he needs to be playing regularly.
Curtis Jones is a special talent and he is full of potential, he needs regular minutes to realise that potential.
Given how much faith the boss has in Elliott it could be important to loan Jones out for the campaign so he can continue his development.
The Scouser made 24 appearances last term, he won’t hit those numbers again this time around with Elliott performing the way he is.
