Liverpool had a terrible time with injuries last season. The Reds lost a number of players to the treatment table and it completely derailed our title challenge. One of our players picked up an injury when the season ended which kept him out of Euro 2020. Twitter has reacted to Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold being recalled to the England squad.
Heartbreak for Trent
Last season the Scouser in our team picked up two bad injuries.
One niggle was picked up in the Autumn and kept him out for a few weeks.
Thankfully his absence towards the start of the season wasn’t too consequential.
His form dipped along with that of the team and in the New Year he was left out of Gareth Southgate’s England squad.
Thankfully he played himself back into the Three Lions boss’ plans.
Unfortunately for the Scouser he picked up a serious injury in the final minutes of the final England warm up game.
The injury kept him out of Euro 2020, he could’ve made a real difference.
Trent Alexander-Arnold recalled to England squad
This week Gareth Southgate announced his squad for upcoming World Cup Qualifiers.
The Three Lions take on Hungary away, Andorra at home and Poland away.
Trent Alexander-Arnold has been recalled to the England squad whilst Jordan Henderson keeps his place.
The Scouser is one of four right backs named in Gareth Southgate’s side.
Reece James, Kieran Trippier and Kyle Walker have all made the cut.
Just what Southgate is planning to do with them all is beyond me.
Fans have congratulated the best right back in the world on his call up.
