Liverpool to sell Xherdan Shaqiri to Lyon
The coming days should see the completion of another deal.
The Athletic has reported that Liverpool have agreed to sell Xherdan Shaqiri to Lyon.
A fee of £9.5m has been agreed upon with the French side’s opening offer believed to be around £4m.
Shaq played 63 times during his three years at the club.
He was used predominantly as an impact sub and a rotation option.
Given his undeniable technical ability it’s unsurprising that he was looking for a move this summer, he’s too good to spend the final years of his career on the bench.
Plenty of Kopites believe we should’ve got more money for the diminutive playmaker and are sad to see him go.
