Liverpool beat Norwich City 3-0 this weekend. The Reds got their Premier League campaign off to a flier with a comprehensive victory over the Canaries. Kopites will be delighted to see their side up and running again. One man pulled out a moment of magic towards the end. Liverpool fans have been raving about an Alisson Becker save v Norwich City.
Norwich City 0-3 Liverpool
Carrow Road is a happy hunting ground for the Reds.
Kopites have fresh memories of an incredible late win in a high scoring affair in East Anglia – a quite ridiculous 5-4 win for the Reds.
Fans of the newly promoted side will also still be having nightmares about Luis Suarez with the Uruguayan having scored against them whenever he fancied it.
This weekend saw a win as routine as expected with Liverpool brushing Norwich City aside.
The scoring was opened by Diogo Jota after a loose touch (or piece of genius) from Mo Salah put the Portugal forward through on goal.
The hosts never really threatened and the lead was doubled 20 minutes into the second half when the Egyptian King squared the ball for Roberto Firmino to tap home.
Salah grabbed one of his own 15 minutes from time when he curled on in from the edge of the box after the ball broke to him from a corner.
Alisson v Norwich City
In the final five minutes of the game we saw a piece of brilliance from Alisson v Norwich City.
The Holy Goalie was called into action in the dying embers.
A good ball in found its way to Ben Gibson with the defender firing towards goal from close range.
Somehow Alisson kept Norwich from scoring, the keeper pulling out a sublime save before eventually punching clear.
Fans were left amazed by the keeper. How did he do that?
