Goalkeeper: Caoimhin Kelleher

The Irishman has been anointed as number two for the season and fans feel safer as a result.

Right back: Neco Williams

The Welshman could well be on his way out of the club this summer but until a suitable offer comes in he needs to back up Trent.

Centre back: Joe Gomez

The Englishman’s return to fitness is a joy to behold, he’ll have a task on his hands forcing his way into the starting XI, though.

Centre back: Ibrahima Konate

Liverpool’s star signing, the Frenchman will be excited about his first game at Anfield.

Left back: Kostas Tsimikas

The Greek star could well start on Saturday depending on the extent of Andy Robertson’s injury. Another star performance tonight would go a long way.

Defensive midfield: Fabinho

The Lighthouse shouldn’t have much work to do today but it’ll be great to see him back in action.

Centre midfield: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

The Ox can be a monster if he stays fit, please make it through tonight lad.

The Scouser will be hoping to cement himself in the side this season, he’ll need to impress tonight.

Left wing: Takumi Minamino

The Japan international has a point to prove and tonight is the time to prove it.

Right wing: Kaide Gordon

The wonderkid has more than earned his place in the starting lineup today, hopefully he’ll play himself into the League Cup squad.

Striker: Roberto Firmino

The Brazilian has a fight on his hands for a starting berth. A big performance tonight is needed.
