Liverpool’s final pre-season friendly was a routine win over Osasuna. The Reds utterly dominated the game with a number of players staking a claim for a starting berth. Here are our Liverpool player ratings v Osasuna:

Caoimhin Kelleher – 8
The Irishman had nothing to do all game really. He used the ball well but what else can we say? He wasn’t at fault for the goal.
Neco Williams – 6.5
The Welshman was solid defensively but wasn’t overly effective on the front foot though he was consistently making strong runs.
Joe Gomez – 8.5
The Englishman was solid as ever, it’s like he was never out.
Ibrahima Konate – 9
Liverpool’s star signing showed just what he brings to the table. He was commanding at the back and used the ball well.
Kostas Tsimikas – 8.5
The Greek star gave us all reason to be optimistic. He will be starting the season in Andy Robertson’s absence and he looks ready to deliver.
Fabinho – 8.5
The Lighthouse didn’t have much to do but he carried out his job with the typical minimal fuss.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – 8.5
The Ox looked a man on a mission tonight, zipping about the pitch with a point to prove. Unfortunately, this gave him tunnel vision on occasion as he looked to stand out.
Curtis Jones – 6
The Scouser was forced off early on due to injury after a few unfortunate knocks.
Takumi Minamino – 9
The Japan international scored one and assisted another, he could finally kick on this season.
Kaide Gordon – 9
The wonderkid gets a nine because of his age. To play that confidently, to worry the defence that much, to make those runs, all at just 16-years-old, is just incredible. An outstanding performance for someone so young. We’ve got a future star on our hands.
Roberto Firmino – 9
The Brazilian proved a point tonight with two clinical finishes in the first half, Bobby and Diogo Jota will be battling for that starting spot this season.
Ben Woodburn – 8
The one time wonderkid impressed after coming on as a sub, a clever backheel to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was a highlight.
Divock Origi – 6
The Belgian missed a sitter of a header after coming on at halftime. He just needs regular minutes but he won’t get them at Anfield.
Leighton Clarkson – 8.5
What a player he could be. His range of passing is phenomenal, if Jürgen Klopp trusts him he could be a gem of a player.
