'Looks brilliant': Liverpool fans think Kaide Gordon is an 'unreal talent'

Liverpool fans took to Twitter on Thursday to praise Kaide Gordon. They believe the Reds have a special talent on their books.

Liverpool fans are loving Kaide Gordon this pre-season. The 16-year-old has been a bit of a revelation, playing regularly and looking incredibly sharp.

That’s quite fantastic for a player his age. You rarely ever see it, with only talents like Harvey Elliott catching the eye that young.

But Gordon looks fearless and capable of beating defenders already. Honestly, he seems to be ahead of schedule.

Everyone knows he’s a talent, after all. Gordon arrived with plenty of hype from Derby County earlier this year and has quickly hit milestones.

He finished last season scoring goals for the Under 18s, earning himself an Under 23 debut on the final day – and he scored on it. That got him a fairly prominent role in pre-season and Gordon is smashing it.

There are reports that Gordon is impressing his senior teammates already and we’re busy wondering if Liverpool are fast-tracking him. It’s been that kind of pre-season.

We’re far from the only ones who like what we see, too. Liverpool fans are raving about Gordon on Twitter.

Gordon just looks like the kind of player who’s going to make it. There’s no doubting his drive, his confidence or his raw skill.

‘Raw’ is definitely the right word here – there’s still a ways to go before Gordon is the finished article. He can be rash with his decisions, his touch isn’t entirely there yet and he’s yet to deliver an end product in pre-season.

But Gordon’s energy and fearlessness mean you can be pretty confident there’s a great player in there. He’s got pace and dribbling skills that he’s not scared to show off.

Hopefully, we’ll see more of him this season, then. Some players can shy away as they move up levels and face challenges. Not Gordon, though. He’s hitting every milestone with the same attitude and that should take him far.
