Dusan Vlahovic could be available for a decent price this summer, according to reports. Liverpool must act fast if they want him, however.
The Telegraph reports that a £40m price could get Dusan Vlahovic this summer. It could rise as high as £50m but that’s the rough figure.
That could interest Liverpool, who reportedly like the player. Tuttosport claim as much – and they’re far from the only Italian outlet to link the two.
Now, that’s not exactly the strongest link but a move for Vlahovic does make sense. He’s a 21-year-old striker for Fiorentina who exploded last season, ending the season with 21 Serie A goals.
That only tells half the story, though. Vlahovic started the season slow and only had two goals by mid-December. Then things suddenly clicked for the Serbian.
Vlahovic’s second half of the season was extraordinary – not just for the number of goals he scored but for how important they were. His strikes were consistently the difference-makers in picking up points.
Now, it is a small sample size but a 21-year-old playing like that forces teams to take notice. And Liverpool could certainly use a new goalscorer.

They lack a recognised no.9 other than Divock Origi. Origi, though, has never shown the kind of form Vlahovic just has and he’s five years older.
Vlahovic wouldn’t just be a wonderful addition and boost to goalscoring, but his age makes him a long-term asset. He could lead the attack beyond the current stars if all goes well.
Dusan Vlahovic price
Liverpool would have to be fast, though. That Telegraph article talks about Vlahovic from a Tottenham Hotspur viewpoint and Spurs apparently want the striker.
We get the impression they’d only make that move if Harry Kane left the club, however. Then they could justify the price in replacing their star player.
For Liverpool, though, Vlahovic still looks like a great addition. The Reds have made enough in sales to justify a £40m price, too.
So we’ll have to wait and see. As we say, the source linking to Liverpool isn’t the best but it’s hard to see a move for Vlahovic as anything other than a good idea.
