Liverpool are going to need to sign a striker this summer. The Reds haven’t been good enough in front of goal of late and that needs remedying. Jürgen Klopp should turn to Scotland for the solution. Liverpool should swoop for Odsonne Edouard in a bargain deal with Celtic.
Odsonne Edouard bio
In June 2018 Celtic signed Odsonne Edouard for a club record £9m.
Since then he’s been the Glasgow side’s main provider of goals.
Last season he scored 16 and assisted five across 26 appearances.
The campaign before he scored 21 and assisted 12 across 27 games.
Considering he’s just 23-years-old these are pretty impressive returns.
Liverpool should move for Odsonne Edouard
This summer we need to bring a forward in.
Liverpool signing Odsonne Edouard could be the perfect move.
He has entered the final year of his contract at Celtic, meaning he could be available at a bargain price.
The Times previously reported that Brendan Rodgers had signed the striker again, claiming Leicester had won the race for the Frenchman, agreeing a £15m fee with Celtic.
However, this was back at the start of June and since then the Foxes have brought in Patson Daka.
Michael Edwards is a keen negotiator, given that Leicester appear to have moved on and the player has just a year remaining on his deal, we could snap him up for a bargain fee.
At a time when every penny counts Edouard could be a fantastic value option for Liverpool.
