Liverpool are going to sell-to-buy this summer. We always do. The Reds have a number of players they are looking to offload. One such player is the club’s Welsh winger. According to Goal, Fulham are leading the race for Harry Wilson.
FSG are sensible owners. They have taken the club from the brink of administration to record profits.
One of the ways the owners have achieved this is through carefully curated transfer windows.
We sell before we buy. We don’t spend money we don’t have.
The Reds’ net spend during Jürgen Klopp’s reign is miniscule in comparison to the rest of the division with even some Championship sides outspending us.
This summer will be no different with nearly a dozen players facing an exit.
Fulham lead Harry Wilson race
This season should see Liverpool’s Welsh winger depart.
According to Goal, Fulham are leading the race for Harry Wilson.
The set-piece wizard has impressed during his recent loan spells and won’t be short of suitors.
Last season he represented Cardiff City and netted seven goals whilst also bagging 11 assists for the Welsh outfit.
However, Goal has highlighted that the Reds’ £15m asking price could prove a problem in negotiations.
What RTK has to say
Liverpool selling the Welshman seems inevitable.
Fulham affording Wilson is another matter, though.
Can a Championship side fork out £15m? It would be a massive move for the West London side.
We wouldn’t be surprised if Michael Edwards dropped his asking price in the near future.
